Embody

Lack of harmony between people and technology served as inspiration for Embody. The human form is made to move, but today’s devices encourage inaction. Too long, and the body is left stiff and tired. With the help of more than 20 physicians, we set out to determine if a chair could offer actual health benefits.

Using the principles of biophysics, physical therapy, ergonomics, and sight, we tore down the restrictive blueprint of classic office chairs and designed Embody to mimic the back, ribs, and spine of the human form.

Most products hide technology. With Embody, we chose to put it on full display. Each healthful purpose was designed to become a part of the chair’s design aesthetic.

Embody comes together in an honest design — a design that not only neutralizes stress and strain but adapts to body movement while improving posture, maximizing agility, and encouraging better respiration.
